Samsung aims for greater heights with the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G
Samsung has continued its dominance in the tech gadget space by introducing two new smartphones to the market.
Their next chapter in foldable innovation includes the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G.
Both devices are “premium foldable smartphones built with the craftsmanship and flagship innovations Samsung users have come to love and expect”.
Samsung has incorporated key improvements that Samsung foldable users have asked for—making them more durable with more optimised foldable experiences.
While flip phones are a blast from the past, it is looking more like they are here to stay for the future. The sleek design of the Galaxy Flip3 is rather impressive, it is the accessory you want to have in your bag, in your pocket and in your hand. The camera features have been enhanced and a larger cover screen that lets you see what you need to. The Galaxy Z Fold3 comes with a 7.6 inch Infinity Display and the first ever S Pen support on a foldable design.Users can use their optimised S Pen features on the foldable screen with the main screen now making it easier than before for users to work on the go, whether that is reading an email or checking your to-do list. Samsung has taken the effort to enhance the S Pen making the experience of using it more seamless and intuitive. The additional Flex mode features will make you the ultimate multitasker doing more than one thing at a time on your phone.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 are equipped with IPX8 water resistance, which means users no longer have to worry about getting caught in the rain unexpectedly without any protection for their phones. The devices also have Armor Aluminium, a new feature from Samsung and is said to be the strongest aluminium ever used on a Galaxy smartphone. Screens are also getting much stronger with the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus that will protect the phones against scratches and accidental drops that are bound to happen.
With all the added features, including a new protective film made of stretchable PET and optimised display panel layers, the main screen on the devices has become 80% more durable than on previous ones.
How comfortable is a flip phone really? Some would worry that the phone would ‘wear and tear’ far quicker than a regular smartphone due to the design. Samsung has used the Hideaway Hinge, first introduced on the Galaxy Z Flip, that enables the devices to stay in place at any angle for innovative user experiences with Flex mode. If we want to get technical, enhanced Sweeper technology now has the bristles inside the Hinge shorter, helping to repel dust and other particles and maintain the devices’ durability and seamless user experiences. Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 were also put through a strenuous folding test, verified by Bureau Veritas, to withstand folding 200,000 times.
When it comes to accessorizing, you can match your outfits to one of the three optional colours of the Galaxy Z Fold3. It is available inPhantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom Silver.
For the Galaxy Z Flip3 the colours are a lot more on trend with Cream, Green, Lavender, and Phantom Black. Samsung made sure to bring the fashion to life with this device by including ring grips and strap cases that make it even easier to hold and fold the phone.
With the Galaxy Z series, users will get access to more apps that take full advantage of the foldable screen. Samsung is expanding partnerships with leading companies like Google, Microsoft, and more, so users can enjoy more of their go-to apps tailored to their unique needs.
Also unveiled at the launch was the Galaxy Buds2. The new addition to the Buds family – Pro and Live- you have the many options of using the Buds for listening to music, podcasts or answering your calls. It comes standard with the Active Noise Cancellation, something we have come to love from Samsung. Galaxy Buds2 are Samsung’s smallest and lightest earbuds and it comes in some cool colours – graphite, white, olive and lavender.
